The food was fabulous throughout, but the Luminae restaurant was the best!

The main pool had fun activities going on every day, and the Retreat pool was relaxing. I also enjoyed the nightlife entertainment such as silent disco.

We went to the shows every night and enjoyed them all. Exquisite choreography and talented performers. Cruise Director Luigi kept the entertainment hopping.

My suite was cleaned twice a day and everything was replenished. I loved the shower! It was more like a hotel room. I have been on other cruises where the rooms were small and cramped. Not the case on the Ascent.

Ship tip

I recommend the Retreat. It made for such a memorable cruise.

Disembarking can be a nightmare, but this time is was surprisingly smooth and uneventful.

Really? Wifi really sucks unless you're open to paying $60/day. Classic drink pack looks great but limits you to drinks under $10 (only three wine offerings), plain water only, no sparkling, no juices even if priced below $10. Speciality dining starts at $80! Celebrity is nickle and diming for every possible cent!
