Review summary

Fantastic time. My only complaint was that one bad excursion experience. The food was mostly very good with a few misses. My husband wished that the gym was more suited for weight lifting. Also the entertainment was a bit boring or not our cup of tea. But considering that a good majority of the demographic was much older than we are, I understand the ship’s choices. The service was stellar. As much as we did enjoy ourselves, I don’t think that this class ship is one that we will choose to go to again unless we book the retreat. We really do not like the veranda. It doesn’t work for us.

Food was hit or miss. La petit chef was average Ocean Grove breakfast was good lunch was average Raw I would give 4/5. It was good but not one of the best seafood/sushi Eden, Fine Cut and Rooftop Garden was excellent Main dining room for breakfast and dinner was the best we have had in over my 15+ past cruises. Bars, lounges, and quality of drinks was fantastic thoughout the ship. Service was outstanding

Beautiful and clean ship. Excellent maintenance of my room. Continues cleaning throughout the ship at all times. Every public bathroom that I entered was meticulously cleaned every time.

Cabin / Stateroom

My cabin was beautiful and an excellent size. Storage was well above what we needed. Largest bathroom we ever had for cabin type. My only issue is that I prefer a regular balcony rather than the veranda

I would not recommend the Dorado beach club excursion in Puerto Plata, DR.

One of our worst port experiences. Purchased the Dorado beach experience. We were taken to a beach then told that they couldn’t accommodate us. The. We were driven to another beach at another property of the hotel. After driving around and asking for instructions we were finally able to start our beach day. From my view point there seem to be a need to improve organizing this particular excursion. Especially since there was only about 14 of us that we to on it. Nonetheless, my real problem with this excursion is that what I had hope would be a day of relaxing for us, turned into three hours of nonstop harassment from vendors. I could not wait to get off that beach. I wish that we had never left the ship or simply remained at the port.
