This was our first ocean cruise. Even with all the negatives, we liked the experience. Will do it again, but maybe trying a different cruise line.

Very quick and un-eventful, which was great. Not much hassle since we use the app to pre-register and check-in.

They were OK, food wise. However, some of the main restaurants had a very slow and not so good services. A lot of the servers were racially biased against non-white folks. Things such as they would smile and talk to white people and ignored non-whites. The irony is that 99% of the servers were non-whites, they were mostly Asians. This really put a damper on the cruise!
Onboard Activities

We did use the fitness center, which was very nice. I also did the table tennis activities that the cruise organized. Didn't use the pool since it was always very crowded.
Entertainment

We loved the comedy shows by Corey Rodrigues. We've never laughed so hard in a vey long time. The Tree of Life show was also great, and the Rockcumentary as well. Didn't do much on the DJ stuff.
Service and Staff

I already commented on the waiters in the main restaurants. Basically if you didn't buy the drink packages, your services would not be as good as those who did. The stateroom attendant was good. He tried to take care of things in the room. Didn't have much interaction with the ship's staff other than from the daily PA broadcast from the captain, which was very difficult to understand or hear.

Everything was good in the stateroom. Couldn't have been bigger, but would have to pay more. The balcony was nice.
Ship tip
Be white and rich, or ignore the racially biased Asian waiters/waitresses.
It was sort of chaotic! The PA said something while the crew told us something different. At the end we just did it ourselves and just walked off the ship.
Honestly if you didn’t like the service on Celebrity, you will probably be even more disappointed on the other big lines (NCL, RCCL, etc). I’ve found Celebrity service to be much better than others.
