1st cruise in 2 yrs. We loved it! Coming back!!!!!
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Smoothest Embarkation to date. Be extra OCD about having all of your documents (passport, Id / birth certificate, Covid documents, boarding pass, etc), and it will go quick.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The main dining room was excellent. We always enjoy the various speciality restaurants (burgers, pizza, seafood, etc).
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
The Skyride was pretty awesome and we recommend it if you are into it and able. Bring closed toe shoes (tennis shoes, etc), or they won’t let you ride it.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Great music talent and performances all over the ship. The one complaint / improvement suggestion regards how the Comedy Club venue is organized. Because Carnival hires the best comics, this venue has become very popular. The line starts forming an hour before the doors even open and the room isn’t large enough to accommodate everyone. They either need to require a reservation on the App with guaranteed seating for each showtime or move it to the larger Liquid Lounge venue. The Comedy Club seems more popular than the Musical productions, in my opinion.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Our room stewards were great! Waiters, bar staff, servers, customer service, etc., were all very friendly and accommodating.
The only issue we had was for lunch one day at the JiJi Asian Kitchen. The food was ok but the service was very slow, disorganized, and appeared not very well trained.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
This was our first time on the Vista and I have to be honest, it isn’t our favorite ship. While it was clean and seemed to be well taken care of…it seemed harder to get around without having to go up and down multiple decks while going from one end to the other and it doesn’t “flow”. The good part is, there are tons more tables and chairs to sit at and eat on the Lido deck.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
We had an inside cabin, which we often get because we don’t spend much time there anyway. However, it appeared smaller than the same cabin on the smaller ships. One of the closets / wardrobes has been removed, leaving an odd empty space by the cabin door. It was clean and everything was in good condition though.
Ship tip
Bring your walking shoes…it’s a big ship. Bonus tip: Get to your event early, because everyone else will.
Belize is beautiful. Port area shopping is up and coming. Unless on an excursion, stay in the port area. Also, look for Charles and his fresh produce cart. Friendly older gentleman with fresh cut fruit and vegetables.
