Review summary

Lots of fun even with a few rainy days. Glad to be cruising again. Counting down the B2B on the Freedom in March 2022.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Very smooth after a three hour delay. Ship only about half full.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
All food was great. Never more than a ten minute wait after requesting a table.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Thermal suite disappointing. Serenity deck very nice. Was closed the last day due to high winds.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Shows were wonderful. Spike Davis is a great comic.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Everyone helpful and cheerful. Joey was a hoot as cruise director.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Very clean and easy to get around. Dream class has better theaters and thermal suites.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Achmad was a good cabin steward. Room clean but it seemed like less closet space than on the Dream class ships. Very quiet location.

Ship tip

Be sure to take in the live entertainment. The smaller number of passengers kept the ship energy lower than usual. Still fun!

Ports of call

Belize City, Belize

5 out of 5

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Smooth as silk until the ride to IAH. Carnival bus made extra stop at Hobby then lost air pressure and could not move for a little while. Lots of traffic due to an accident between the airports. Made it eventually.

Glad you enjoyed your cruise. While the reduced ship capacity can be great, it can also have an impact on the number of venues open and their hours of operation. Entertainers usually feed off the energy of larger crowds, so I can imagine some shows and performances could be more lowkey in a reduced capacity environment.
