The passenger count was less than half and made this cruise one we will always remember. After the lockdowns this was the relief we needed.
Embarkation

Showed up at are designated time of 10:30-11:00. Lines moved quickly. We were on the ship in approximately 20 minutes. They had issues with the gangway, otherwise we would have been on quicker.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Food was fresh and hot. We had dinner in th MDR four nights. Which is more than we usually do. We don’t care to spend 1-2 hours having a meal.
Lido buffet never had a line and they kept the food fresh.
Guys burgers were sensational as always.
Blue Iguana was over the top.
Pizza was the best I’ve ever had on a cruise.
Seafood shack was good.
Guys Pug and Anchor was a hit.
Did not do the steakhouse this trip. We felt the price was not worth it.
The steaks in the MDR are just as good.
The Chef's Table

Boydex made the second formal night extra special. He knew my wife and I were celebrating our 37th anniversary and saw to our every need. He than got together with his assistants and sang to us.
Seafood Shack

Lobster rolls were delicious 🤤
Pizzeria Del Capitano

The guys would make my pizza custom to my liking.
Onboard Activities

Pool chairs were always available. Pools were crowded. but aren’t they always?
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The staff felt genuine in there kindness.
We really appreciated the overall friendliness. They all seemed happy to be back at work.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
We liked the toned down colors of the ship. The layout was customary to Carnival and we maneuvered around the ship without any hitches.
Cabin / Stateroom

Wrap around balcony was wonderful. We spent a lot of time as usual out on it. There were four chairs, two lounges, and two tables The only complaint I have is that being fully covered we didn’t get much sun on the balcony.
The mattress was new and was very comfy.
The room is a little smaller than a regular balcony room, but we knew that having had wrap around balconies in the past.
Ship tip
Don’t let one or two thing ruin your cruise. Always focus on the good.
Agreed. I know my wife's fillet mignon in the Steakhouse was not better than the same in the MDR. My 18 Oz. Ribeye was way better than any steak in MDR though. I do enjoy the long MDR dinner experience, especially if you have good table mates. Carnival is getting faster though.
Love your ship tip and it's so true. I've had a couple of less than stellar cruises, but there isn't one that I wouldn't go on again. Cruiser for life!!
