Review summary

This was our daughter’s first cruise. Her and her husband really enjoyed it. Glad we went.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Very smooth. We dropped the women off and went and parked the cars. That went well. We got back and started the embarkation process. It went very smoothly.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We had a great wait staff in the main dining. The food was really good. Our waiter had everything set up for our grandson every night. The buffet was pretty good. Guy’s burger joint was good. The BBQ on the sea day was good. We ate I. The steak restaurant was great. Good food and excellent service.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The doctor Seuss area was great for our grandson and the splash pad was also.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
We only took our grandson to the doctor Seuss area but he really enjoyed it

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
First time we weren’t happy with our room steward. Our cabin was a little dirty and we had to call guest services to complain. We keep our cabin in good order and only ask for ice twice daily and two wine glasses. We had ice most of the time, but not the wine glasses.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Every thing was great except for our cabin.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Not very clean when we checked in. Had to call guest services to get it corrected

Ship tip

Carnival is the fun ship and more for younger people. Not our favorite cruise line but it was overall a very nice ship.

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

5 out of 5
We came a day early and enjoyed Galveston.

Cozumel, Mexico Did not visit port

We stayed on the ship to watch our grandson. We have been to Cozumel many times so there I nothing left to see.

George Town, Grand Cayman

5 out of 5
Tender process was easy. We went to the turtle farm which our grandson enjoyed. Lunch there was pretty good.

Ocho Rios, Jamaica

5 out of 5
We split up. I went on an excursion for rum jerk and reggae. It was pretty good. We went to margaritaville for the rum tasting. That part was okay.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Got off the ship quiz and caught the shuttle to our car and were on our way home within 30 minutes.
