Review summary

Carnival has successfully implemented the concept of a "Floating Trailer Park". "Soup kitchen" quality food, with "High School Musical" style entertainment. Extremely poor quality sound system= screaming rather than singing. Theatre was very poorly conceived with a mix of chairs and theatre seats with little room to walk between rows, flat floor and columns resulted in poor sight lines. Just as well, we left most shows within a few minutes. This "theatre?" area needs a redesign; and real Cruise Ship Entertainment. Chefs must be Graduates of Golden Corral College two week course. Very small diner portions compared to real Cruise Ships, just as well, no flavour. Even the watermelon had no taste. Other melons were too hard, either not ripe or just poor quality. Fried Chicken had an uneatable, plastic like coating and uneatable chicken. A lot of food was sent back to the soup-kitchen. Most people commented that "This was their Worst Carnival Experience". Extreme buyers' remorse Never Carnival again!!

I know that Carnival is not a luxury line by any means, but I follow the other major cruise line reviews and with the exception of Disney, they seem about the same compared to the others. I have only cruised Carnival so far, but I have received nothing but excellent service. It’s one thing to make legitimate complaints, but you are just insulting people and that shows how much class YOU have.

Looks like we have a person with major eating problems who can't live without McDonalds, holy cow. If you can be THAT miserable on a cruise (and mostly of food) you should stay home and veg on the couch. Some people have some major issues and I would say it wasn't the cruise itself.

Love the Vista, love Carnival. A vacation is what you make of it. I didn’t have to cook, clean, make my bed! Sounds perfect to me! Will cruise Carnival any day!

You went on vacation and allowed something you didn't like ruin your vacation. I have sailed Carnival Magic, Dream, Freedom twice and will be on the Vista in March. The previous four cruises I didn't experience any of the things you did. So maybe cruising isn't your cup of tea.

I'll admit. I've never gone to a Carnival Theatre production and thought "that was amazing.". But, with all their current enhancements, to call it a High School production is kinda Stoopid.

Did you go to the steakhouse? If not you missed world class dining at a bargain price. How about the alchemy bar? Those guys are awesome. What about the fact you were cruising, it's a vacation like no other and it is what you make of it and sorry you weren't able to do so.
