Thanks Carnival Vista for making my 20th year anniversary, one to remember. We enjoyed the crew, staff and activities provided on-board. The ship design is amazing and the food and entertainment is great. Some much to do, you will be happy you chose Carnival.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
My embarkation experience was wonderful, out of all my past cruises this one was the best. Less wait time for boarding and lines were well organized and no fighting and confession on where to go and which line to stand in.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The food and drink experience was great. Food was well prepared and drinks were cold and mixed just right.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
The shows and on-board partying was fun. My hat off to the cruise for the Veteran Day celebration. As a Army Retired Veteran with over 20 years served I was pride to say I cruised the Carnival Vista, the celebration is one for the books. Make individuals like me pride to had served. Once again Thanks for the recognition.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
The shows were great, and entertaining. The only bad thing I would have to say is the two main singer were "Off" keys during the 80's show and other stage show events. I believe the back-up singers should have been the leads. Just my opinion.
Children's Programs
For the first time me and the wife travelled without our kids. (All grown-up)
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Both my Steward (Jose) and waitress (Nezuria)(excuse spelling) were excellent. Because of the excellent service we receive the wife and I are starting to look at cruises for next year. Since our primary cruise was change due to Hurricane Ira, we may look at re-scheduling for St Maarten, St Kitts, and Puerto Rico in the near-future pending how the recovery effort are going.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ship's layout and design was more than what I expected. So much that once I returned I bragged about the design and all the activities and told all my friend who cruis other Cruise-lines that they need to give Carnival Vista a chance, the cruise line has come a long way since yesteryear and continue to grow and get better as technology progresses.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable to a point All my wife does is talk about the pillows and that the $100+ pillows I purchased for our bedroom does not come close to the comfort level as the ones on the ship. The climax control and water temperature was on-target, not too cold nor too hot.
Ship tip
Be prepared to have fun, gain weight (Too many food choices i.e. buffet, restaurants, room services), and Top-notch customer service. If you haven't had the 4D experience try it, you will love it. (IMAX)
Port was clean, and staff members were courteous and professional. We did have an excursion through the cruise-line. The excursion was worth the price and very educational.
Our disembarkation experience was wonderful, compared to those of the past. The wait time to depart was shorter than expected, the lines were well organized and not confession. The only negative was once we got in the port the escalators were down and were not allowed to used the stairs, so we had to ride the elevator 7-8 persons at a time or go back to the other exit where the escalators were working to exit.
