Family cruise with two teenagers, a preteen and a baby. Epic success. The Vista offered all we needed. Fun, relaxation, good food, entertainment, new friends and unforgettable experiences.
Embarkation

Although the line got pretty long it moved pretty quickly and the staff handled the situation pretty well. Plenty of smiles and we were even handed cold water bottles while in line.

Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Food was pretty decent in main dinning room Reflections. Martha, Amri and Jaya made our experience a five star. We did not experience any delays in the 3 nights we dined there. Specialty restaurant JiJi's Asian was AMAZING! Farida our waitress from Indonesia was so attentive and made our family style dinner a memorable one. Guy's Burgers and Guy's Pig Anchor (open only on sea days) were a nice trip to Flavortown! Good comfort food. I was not too impressed with the pizza from Cucina del Capitano but the kids thought it was really good. Buffet was spotless...nice, clean, fresh food. Staff kept that place looking great. Great selection of desserts. Blue Iguana Cantina serves the greatest breakfast burritos. Brunch at Horizons on a sea day was nice but nothing out of the ordinary. The Family Harbor Lounge served a nice spread for breakfast icluding lychee fruit and nutella😆, also in the early afternoon they have little sandwiches, chips and desserts, at night they serve cookies and milk, coffee and soft serve 24/7. This area is only for guests staying in the Family Harbor area and you need a key card to get in. Best initiative yet!!
Onboard Activities

There are soooo many things to do. The shows were great. Pools, slides, waterworks area, skyride, ropes course, arcade, IMAX theater, movies by the pool with blankets and popcorn, games, well equipped fitness center, etc. Something for everyone. Easy to follow on the HUB app.
Entertainment

Flick was really cool. I described it as genius when it ended. The costumes, lighting and sound was as they say "on point" Some of the singers were a little weak in the power of their voice but everything was so beautiful and well put together that you could barely notice. My musician companion was very pleased.
Children's Programs

My 17 and 14 year old had a blast. I only saw them for dinner. They met other kids and the clubs kept them active. So much so they had "post cruise depression". Club director was really nice and personable. They loved her (Tatjana). Baby had fun at Seussville.
Service and Staff

Our Reflections waiters were above any other. Every single crew member we came in contact with went above and beyond in their service. It was nice to see them joke around with one another and smile. The only ones that looked tired were the housekeeping staff but were ALWAYS polite and quick to attend to any guest needs.
Ship Quality

The Atrium is different than other ships. No grand staircase or glass elevators but I think different is beautiful too. I like different. It is a new ship so it all looks new and clean. On debarkation morning I saw the crew scrubbing away.
Cabin / Stateroom

Family Harbor Oceanview had two closets with plenty of hangers. A separate "closet" with shelves, drawers and safe. Had full bathroom with shower and a separate washroom with sink and a tub. Decent space. Clean.
Ship tip
Attitude is everything. Have fun. Vista is a great ship with plenty to do and experience. If you're cruising with kids, staying at the Family Harbor is a must.
Really enjoyed Jamaica. Did a city tour and Bamboo Beach Club. Amanda was great. Made us fall in love with Jamaica. Could do without the tourist shopping spot.
It was BEAUTIFUL!! The water so blue. The port is big enough for you to walk around and explore on your own. This is a 100% tourist destination so expect higher prices and not a lot of authentic mexican culture. We did enjoy our Ruins excursion where we visited mayan ruin site and a quick trip to the beach. We talked to the locals and learned than everything they do is geared to please the tourist industry so not a lot of organic mexican culture but great learning experience and cool historical site. Great pics and shopping!
