The Vista is a very nice ship. Layout is very similar to the other Carnival ships, so it's nice that if you have traveled on Carnival before it doesn't seem like you have to learn an entirely new ship and feels comfortable. Still lots of fun exploring and things offered to do.

One thing that still needs to be changed is to have 2 lines at the point of getting on the ship where pictures are being taken. A line for those of us that have cruised before and really have NO desire to have pictures taken getting on the ship, and a line for those that want pictures done.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Gave this 4 stars because of the main dinning room food. The main dinning room meals seemed to have been the same that were offered 2 years ago when we cruised on the Liberty Ship. The service was great, but the food was not that write home about experience. The steak house was AWESOME! Guys burger joint and BBQ pit was AWESOME. The location of the BBQ pit is very hidden, and not open long enough.

Especially LOVED LOVED LOVED the Violin Trio! They were amazing!! Would have been great if the World Series Games had been shown on the big screen at the pool!

The casino bar is never big enough and never has enough staff to handle the demand. The casino should have been designed larger with more machines for the number of people on the Vista.

Ship tip
Elevators are slow. We took the stairs a lot! Casino should have been built larger, for as many people this ship carries.
We had this stop instead of Turks, due to the damage from the Hurricane. Made it sound like the beach was right there as you got off the ship....NOT! A good 20 minute walk, next to a busy highway to get there. Otherwise you need an excursion to be driven to a beach. At the port a nice little bar at the top of the hill.
To be fair....I think it would have been better under normal circumstances. We were delayed getting into port due to a tropical storm which in turn we heard that too many people were let off the ship at a time.
