Review summary
I was super excited to get on board the ship and see the moderness of it. The ship was the most modern of any I have been on in recent years. I must say things got off to a rocky start because my anticipation. I was expecting to be wowed and I was not. Please do not get me wrong at the end of my vacation I was all smiles and did not want to leave. I did not like the shorter ceilings which took away from the grandness of the Ship. In my opinion there were many great ideas on this ship, the bars, food, water works rope activities, comedy and more. This was the first Ship I have been on that did not have great shows. They were 4th rate at best. So much so that they were not highly advertised. I stumbled upon a show just walking about the ship. The movie on the first night was great and then things went down hill. The other movies were slow and the crowd felt the same since there were much less folks watching on subsequent nights. The waterworks park and skyride opened at noon and closed at 4:30 each day. WHY???? Even on sea days this was the case. As a result the lines were so long that one could have easily spent about 2 hours in line. Of course the casino was open late. The cruise director was out and about and very friendly but he did stiff the crowd on the Quest game.
NOW....the steakhouse is not to be missed. It is well worth the $35 per person. From beginning to end the morsels that hit my lips made my soul dance. My Steward Jaran was awesome!!!! He attended to every detail. Each time I entered my room after he left; I had a big smile on my face.
Long story short, I was not a fan of the layout of the ship as so many things were closely packed together but I had a good vacation at the end of the day.
And for my travel agent Mitch, you are AWESOME and have a client for life
