Review summary

This was our first cruise and it was very enjoyable.

Pros:

Restaurants:

There was always something to do and plenty of food to eat. We ate at two of the fee restaurants JiJis and the italian restaurant. Both were very good but JiJis was the best and the waitress Farida was excellent. I also enjoyed tea at the Horizons restaurant which was also delicious. Sushi spot was good too. The free restaurants were equally as good.

Entertainment:

We visited both the thrill theatre and IMAX . The thrill theatre is a 4D theatre that immerses you in short video clips. We went to thrill twice for two different showings and I believe there were more showings. They cost about 5 dollars each. The comedy show was excellent, funny! The cruise director Matt was hilarious and kept us laughing.  We did not go with children so we never went to the water park.

Pools: The pools and hot tubs seemed to always be very busy during the day however in the evening  they were almost empty.

Drinks: We got the soda package...it was worth it. The alcoholic drinks were around 9 dollars and were very good.

Parties: limelight lounge late night was the best

Live musicians: musicians were awesome!

The cons:

Long Long elevator wait times...take the stairs. Pack light because when its time to debark you might just want to take the stairs if you choose to carry your own luggage.

The spa: massage was great! However be forewarned they are trying to upsell you. They will have a complete package of products for you to buy and basically say this is what you need. Say No, go online look up the product if you really want it and purchase on your budget/ time.

Rain: It rained in Jamaica the entire day. Not the cruises fault my fault for not packing a poncho or umbrella. Ship ran out of ponchos however one of the stewards was nice enough to give us several large trash bags.

Casino: If you have asthma or don't like cigarette smoke stay away from the casino.

Other than that we had a great time onboard. The ship crew were all helpful and friendly.

Off the ship: Grand Caymen was the best. We did a private excursion for twenty dollars each with Discount Excursions. We toured the Dolphin Cove, had rum tasting and went to Hell. We then went to Seven Mile Beach at a resort where our tour guide Silva dropped us off and returned to pick us up and take us back by 3. In Mexico we went to Chankanub park.  It was okay would have preferred doing something else However tequilla tasting was great. We left and went to shopping. We planned a private excursion for Jamaica but had to cancel due to rain.
