Worst Carnival Cruise

This was our 7th cruise on a Carnival ship and we were very excited to cruise on the Vista in April, 2017 since it was a new ship. We had high expectations; however, we were very disappointed with the service. When we boarded the Vista, we were met by the glowing atrium Funscape funnel, but the grand feeling was missing like the  usual Carnival atrium. Notably missing were the glass elevators which always gave such a grand feeling to each ship.  We had early dining in the main dining room and service was inconsistent and dinner took longer than what we are used to on a Carnival cruise. I think the staff are taking care of too many tables. It took several times every night for us to receive bread and refills on beverages.  Entertainment was ok but not fun like it was on past Carnival cruises. Carnival is well known as the fun ships, but the fun was not on the Vista.  The Liquid lounge is very small and it was crowded.  There are many areas in the Liquid Lounge where guest could not see the events on stage.  The shows were not that great at all and they were the worst that I have seen on Carnival.  The Atruim was so disappointing.  The bar is in the center of the ATRUIM and not quite large enough for any events or dancing.  We were on the spa deck, honestly, the spa is very nice. It is a tranquil place to visit. But I cannot say it was worth the cost. The heated loungers were amazing, but that was really the only part of the spa package that I would go back for. The thermal pool is decent; however, I could not believe how small it was compared to the thermal pools on other Carnival ships. We are contemplating cancelling our 2018 Carnival cruise.  SkyRide was cool, but the line was really long. Waiting for over an hour for something that lasted for just a few minutes, was disappointing. They could have a better wait system.  We were on deck 14 and the elevator situation was horrible. There is only one elevator that takes guest to the 14th deck.
