Carnival Vista

6 Night Western Caribbean (Miami Roundtrip)

Sail date: March 05, 2017

Ship: Carnival Vista

Cabin type: Inside

Cabin number: 8321

Traveled as: Large Group

Review summary

The dining room reservations were not convenient for group seatings.  Having to check in every day prior to dinner to seat a group of 26+ should not be required.  Other Carnival ships seat the group together at the same location not moving from one area to another every night.  That is not fair to the dining staff.

When you get your conformation page from Carnival is will say the other cabin #'s your linked with.  If not all listed,  call your travel consultant.   I would imagine that assigned dining times and tables would be easier to keep the group together.

Thank you so much for the review - you've logged enough cruises to know what to expect. I've always cruised as a couple - never as a group - Yikes.

Before sailing did you link all of your group for your dining time? Did you pick an assigned dining time? We have found that if you have a large group both of these steps are helpful.  something to consider for your next Carnival cruise (I don't know the policy for other lines).

@working4vacation... Just have your Carnival group coordinator make sure everyone in the group is confirmed for the same set time dining and that all the cabins are crossed linked. If stuck with Any Time Dining still make sure the cabins are all cross linked. Then have several representatives from the group talk to the Maitre'D as soon as the MDR opens for the Q&A on embarkation day.

oh no. I have a group of 30 booked on the Vista. that was the one thing I loved about cruising with a group was we all meet for dinner

the breeze did that to us 2 weeks ago! even right I had chosen 6 for the last 10 cruises they changed it to your time dining. I was a little pissed but chose not to let it get me down. I'm thinking they trying to do like the other cruise lines.
