Review summary

This was my first cruise and I plan on going to many more. Things were better than I expected and staff was very nice and friendly. Next cruise I take I will definitely get the Cheers beverage package and book an excursion at each port.

Embarkation

The embarkation process was faster and easier than I expected. Everyone was very nice and very helpful!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food at the buffets was very good. Loved being able to have breakfast with an ocean view. The only downfall to the breakfast was the eggs which were watery. Lunch was always very tasty and there were many options to choose from. We had late time dining and our wait staff was amazing. Odane and Dan went out of their way to make our dining experience as smooth and pleasant as possible. Food was also very good and they never hesitated to get us an extra appetizer or entree when asked.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
I utilized the pool and the whirpool. Most were full of people in the afternoon but I managed to find a space for myself. The only downfall with that was that people were putting their belongings and towels on the lounge chairs and disappearing for hours. From what I read at the towel station after 40 minutes of a lounge chair being alone the belongings would be held at the towel station. That never happened, I was sunbathing for about 3 hours next to 2 chairs with towels on them but no physical person. The owners finally showed up and they were not at the lido deck but on another separate area of the ship. I also saw the shows every night and loved all of them.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The only reason I am giving this area a 4 star is because the DJ was not very multi-cultural with his music. There were people from a multitude of countries and he only played "American" music. It would have been nice to hear some "hispanic" music for all the Spanish speaking cruisers. The shows were very nice and entertaining, I loved that they had multiple ones throughout the day so you can at least see one. I went to one every night and Felipe did an amazing job as the MC of the shows.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
I cant express enough how nice and welcoming everyone of the staff was to my family and I. Odane and Dan were our waiters and did an amazing job. Komang was our steward and it was nice to see how he remembered our names and greeted us every time he saw us. I cant remember the names of all the staff that helped us but they were all very nice and respectful.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The staff made sure the ship was always clean and I really appreciated that. Bathrooms were always clean and stocked. The only problem I had with the layout was that I had to walk through the casino to go to the arcade with the kids while people were smoking in the casino.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin has a very good layout, clean, good closet space and I especially liked the vanity mirror to do my makeup.

Ship tip

If getting a room for more than two people dont do it unless you have a sofa bed in the room. The pull down beds are very hard and uncomfortable.

Ports of call

Key West, Florida

4 out of 5
We didn't do an excursion and I wish we had. The town is very cute and many things are within walking distance. If you are coming to this port make sure you rent a scooter, golf cart or take a bus ride to get around if you dont like walking.

Cozumel, Mexico

4 out of 5
Mexico was beautiful!! Loved all the shops and bars/restaurants at the port. My family and I did the Beach Break & Cozumel Downtown excursion. Karmen and Pablo were very nice and informative during the excursion. They are very knowledgeable and explain everything to everyone's understanding. My only complain would be the Uvas Beach we visited. First there's no sign that says you cant wear sunblock to go in the beach. Being such a fair person in a very hot island sunblock is a must!! The men who work there made me go shower and take it off before entering the beach. The beach itself was not to my liking. Too many corals. not enough sand and very shallow. Would not recommend the beach to anyone.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Im only rating a 3 star because it was all very rushed. We barely had time to have breakfast before our deck was called. Elevators were jam-packed, some were not even working. Calling multiples deck at a time I don't think is a good idea. I would've loved to spend a little more time on the last day, maybe until noon.
