Review summary

I had a good time on the cruise due to the company I was with. Wish there were better food choices both in the buffet and the main dining room and wasn’t so much trying to sell things to the customers on the cruise. Also more options or activities going on the shop would have been great. It seemed to be very catered to kids so for adults just trying to go on a little vacation, there wasn’t much to do.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
The safety rules were nice and short but the organization of it didn’t seem too organized. People were on top of one another standing in rows , and waiting on others that didn’t show up since it was mandatory. What was suppose to be nice and short was about an hour of standing around with 10mins of safety rules

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Giving the food two stars only for the pizza. The pizza station was open 24 hours a day and they had really good pizza. Sometimes there were lines but the pizza was the best good on the whole ship. The buffet didn’t have good food. I ate yogurt and a bagel with cream cheese for breakfast every day because those were the only good things. There was one omelette station that I didn’t even get to try because the line was always ridiculously long. During dinner the buffet didn’t have much options either. Couldn’t even find plain pasta with sauce for those that don’t like octopus and shrimp. Other ships like royal carribean have pasta stations where you choose your pasta, your add ins and your sauce at the buffet. The dining experience cleanser great either. The service wasn’t the best and it felt like the servers kept trying to sell you drinks and alcohol. They had a bottle of wine already on the table that was an extra charge trying to get you to buy and another waiter going around trying to sell shots to people dining in the main dining room.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Not much to do on the ship at all. The pools were very small and filled with kids. The hot tubs were also filled with kids. Seemed like there was no space for just the adults. They did have the adult area but the pool water was cold and the hot tubs were not very hot... the hot tubs the kids were in were hotter than the adult ones. In the adult ones there were some adults touching each other’s private parts with others like me in there which was absolutely disgusting I had to get out. The day we were at sea there were some activities I did enjoy like the airplane flying contest and the towel folding to make animals. But 5,000 bingo and tea time were double booked at the same time so I ended up missing tea time even though I checked with some workers ahead of time to see if I can still enjoy tea if I came before 4. I showed up 5 mins before 4 when bingo was over, and they wouldn’t let me in for a cup of tea. Other days there was not much to do besides the cafe or a casino (but the craps tables were only open certain hours). From what I saw there was only comedy shows on the daily schedules and no gymnastics or play type of shows which was of no interest to me. There was mini golf on the top deck of the ship but the golf balls were much lighter than regular golf balls and due to the wind were always getting blown around. That design of the ship doesn’t seem very well thought out.

Entertainment

Didn’t watch any shows

Children's Programs

I have no kids.

Service and Staff

2 out of 5
Housekeeping staff was very friendly, always saying Goodmorning and asking if you need anything. The other wait staff at dinner were not as friendly.

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
I had to keep walking to the front of the ship and then down and across to get to certain activities and floors. The floors in a way weren’t all connected since you couldn’t get where you needed to go directly from all the floors.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Cabin was a good size. I definitely recommend getting a balcony view , it doesn’t feel claustrophobic when you can go outside on the balcony and enjoy the views. Housekeeping crew was fantastic and kept my room clean and changed out towels. However when I chose my room it said I’d have a full king bed but it was a split king bed with two beds. That’s not what I had selected when choosing a room.

Ship tip

Bring some dry food with you where you can add hot water and war and some dry powder mix to add to water. Breakfast drinks were good like the passion fruit guava juice but dinner there was plain iced tea or lemonade and they weren’t good. The food wasn’t very good either.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

4 out of 5
We embarked and disembarked from this port so we didn’t have cruise time to be in Miami. But the port itself was nice l.

Key West, Florida

5 out of 5
Key west was nice but I wish carnival would include a list of things to do or see if you’re not doing an excursion with the ship. I walked a few miles in key west getting to the beach from the main streets. Make sure you walk the same way back back to the port because the “shortcut” some People on keywest told me about ends duo being long. So don’t walk along the water back. There’s a gap at the port and you won’t be able to get across.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
I loved Cozumel, it was beautiful. Just make sure to wear lots of sunscreen because the sun is super strong there! Loved that we had a lot of time in Cozumel and I didn’t feel rushed.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Nice and organized disembarkation process and it was easy too.

I agree, you’re a complainer, not a cruiser.
