Review summary

Again, you get what you paid for. The low cost of the cruise attracts a certain type of customer who is less respectful of their fellow passengers. In the future, I will pay a more for a better quality of fellow passengers.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
The embarkation was very quick and hassle-free. There was no wait, and we came on board with no wait at all. Our cabin cards were at our cabin, and we were able to drop off our carry-ons right away. The luggage arrive by 1:00. All staff we encountered were great.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
We had "my own time" dining, and there was never any wait for dinner - I was a bit disappointed in the lack of personality by the multiple wait staff we worked with. On previous cruises, the wait staff were very personable, attentive and made you feel like you were the most special person. This cruise, everyone was a bit rushed, and the timing of courses was really off. For early breakfast, the buffet was fine - I had made to order omelettes daily made by very friendly staff. I totally avoided the buffets at other times as there were kids running around in swimsuits and bare feet, spilling food and ice cream everywhere. There were a lot of very disgusting guests everywhere with little manners, and the wait and service staff just stood around watching it all do down. The Guy Fiero and Burrito stations were great - but lots of guests cut in line, or ordered for lots of people(like 6 or more) - it was very disappointing.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
The serenity pool area was very nice, but the hot tubs there were always cool. I enjoyed the pool at the back of the cruise. The lido pool was crazy busy w/ very rude children so i avoided it.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Doug Williams was a great comedian but the shows were filled up 20 minutes before it started. The two musical shows were good, and the lead male singer was good, but the female lead (Samantha) was always of-key - I am not sure why she would have been hired for such a crucial role.I loved the piano bar and sing-along, and the mid ship piano bar had great entertainment.

Children's Programs

4 out of 5
My two children loved Club 0 and Emms (?) - the group leader.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
I was disappointed at the level of attentiveness of the waiters and room stewards.

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
The buffet was a mess. the pool had frequent garbage floating, and there was messes everywhere, especially on the day at sea. This was mostly due to the obnoxiousness of guests, but the cleaning staff were not the most attentive.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
I would never get a trundle bed again - it was almost V shaped and terribly uncomfortable, and took up any remaining space in the room, and we were tripping over ourselves at night and in the am. The twin beds were very hard, and the sheets were very rough. There was plenty of storage space, and the bathroom was fine, as was the hot water for the shower.

Ship tip

You get what you pay for. I had an interior cabin at an affordable price, but wish I would have spent a little bit more money for a better trip.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida Did not visit port

We drove into Miami for the cruise, and left immediately when the cruise was over.

Key West, Florida

4 out of 5
We just walked around and shopped. It was fine.

Cozumel, Mexico

4 out of 5
We shopped, but the area outside of the cruise port was nasty. I have been to Cozumel before, and it must have been at a different port, because I do not remember it being this bad. We had a para sailing excursion that we took a taxi to. I had booked it on line, and the locals managing the pier tried to charge us more than what we had paid for, and we ended up having to pay an extra $6 or we would not have been able to go on the para sailing trip. Quite the racket there.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We chose to exit on our own, and there was absolutely no wait at all. It was incredibly quick and took less than 10 minutes.

Financial status has nothing to do with manners. Being a single mother and having one income I can better afford frequent 4 night cruises vs not so frequent 7 night cruises. To me it's a no brainer. My children are very well mannered and respectful to others. I have dealt with many who are better financially off than I, that have no respect and think rules do not apply to them. Please do not think for one minute, ones financial status has anything to do with mannerisms. It's more about the parenting. Hopefully you'll enjoy your next cruise better.

I have done short and long cruises and the cost has nothing to do with ignorance. If you were that dissatisfied with your cruise you should have complained to customer service especially about the garbage in the pools. Thats just nasty. But you can't control Rude peoples actions just try to ignore them. You do know that they have police on the ship to control that right? Hope your next cruise experience is better.

Never book anything less than 7 day now. Did a 4 day once, never again.

And dont judge me because I like a bargain!!!

If your cruise was under 7 days, specifically 3-5 days in length, it is well known as a party cruise, or booze cruise. I avoid them at all costs, and never book any cruise under 7 days.

Ones financial status doesn’t determine wether or not they are respectful. Sorry you had a bad experience. I also can’t stand rude people.

I am sorry you feel that way but you can’t put a price tag on Rudeness
