Review summary

Overall, I wouldn't recommend this cruise if you are looking for any type of service or quality of dining. If you're looking for a place with a pool and alcohol, with decent entertainment, then this cruise is cost effective.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
One thing that Carnival does right is their Embarkation. It took me no time to register and get on-board. The whole process took me less than 45 minutes.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
The food choices were varied, but the quality is poor. The deserts were unimaginative and the food was rarely warm on the Liddo Restaurant buffet.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
there were a variety of different activities.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Probably the high point of the cruise - their entertainment was very good, from the piano bar, comedians to the shows.

Service and Staff

1 out of 5
They did not meet even the lowest standards. Staff never cracked a smile and could often be found talking to one another, rather than clearing tables in the Lido Restaurant. Dining room staff was not attentive and slow. Each night I asked for Iced Tea (not offered) and never got the beverage prior to the desert portion of my meal.

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
The ship design was nice as in deck plans, however, I often found food (like smashed plumbs or chunks of cake and cups) strewn around the elevators and corridors of the decks. One thing that this ship does well is Adult Only areas. The Serenity area was very nice with adult only lounges with great cushions, clam shell loungers and hammocks, along with 2 very nice hot tubs. The crew were very strict about keeping minors out of the pool area or the Serenity area.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The cabin was a great size and had plenty of storage. The bathroom was clean and updated.
