Review summary

We left Miami and stopped at Key West and Cozumel. I was excited since i have not visited Key West or Cozumel. I was surprised that Key West was in such great shape. They are still working on the clean up from the hurricane . They dodged a bullet. The "Cozumel by Land and Sea" were a great excursion. We got to see the coral reef, fishes and scuba divers in the comfort of air conditioned boat. Even with all these wonderful things, the nasty tasting food made the whole trip bad. This was my first and last cruise.

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
Food was awful. It was cold and nasty. It was bad at the buffet, Atlantic Dining Room and Pacific Dining Room. The pizza tasted awful but at least it was hot. Breakfast was bad, Hamburger for lunch was bad, dinner was bad The bananas had large black blemishes. One person said he would get me some that looked better but he never came back. I asked other people and they agreed the food was bad. Only person said it was ok. She is a travel agent and had been on over 100 cruises. She said she had worse.

Onboard Activities

Motown trivia contest was fun. Hard to enjoy when you are hungry

Entertainment

steel drum was excellent and shows were good. The bad food just affected everything else.

Ship Quality

Some parts of the boat were difficult to find. In some cases you had to go down 2 floors, walk to the other end and then go up to floors to get to the comedy club and other places.

Cabin / Stateroom

Ship tip

Don't go on Carnival Victory. If you do go, pack your own food.

Sorry to see the food didn't meet your expectation, but foods tastes vary by individual. In the diningrooms it is difficult to serve hot food to a couple thousand guests at the same time, so we know it understand it is like banquet food at home. That could be why it is sometimes bland for personal tastes too. If the food has spoiled your cruising experience, perhaps choose a land vacation the next time, and not at a resort where they are also preparing meals to please a thousand guests at once.

Cruises aren't for everyone. They do make mostly fresh food, so if you are only used to fast or processed food, it might taste bland. So find a different way to travel where you can have the food you enjoy.

I've been on the Liberty twice, and I thought the food really good. I always say, if you cant find good food on a cruise ship... either A) You have incredibly picky tastes B) You didnt look. When you say the Breakfast was bad... Did you even try the buffet for breakfast? They make amazing fresh Omelets or eggs to order, and pretty much every option out there. As for burgers... Guys Burger joint is awesome!! Load your own burger, great fries... The Taco bar is great.. and if you didnt like the Pizza... did you tell the guy?? I guarentee they would nake another one. The only people Ive met that thought the food was bad.. were people who only ate in the main dining rooms. I Stopped eating in the MDR mid way in my first cruise... Ive NEVER had cold food at the Buffet... and ALWAYS find food I like.
