I already started to book my next trip before this survey got to me..
**We live in Orlando. The trip was 4 hours in the evening... The return trip was 12+hours due to the evacuation of half of FL. Glad we filled up prior to dropping off the car at the port of Miami. I don't think that will happen again for us. Everywhere we went (except the interstate) people willing to go above and beyond with assistance?
Embarkation
4 out of 5
We parked at the port, walked across the street and into the terminal. Got into a 10-15min. line and we were on board!
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
I have been waiting for my first Pina Colada to be made the way they did on the "Love Boat" It was AWSOME!! I had about 8 more while sailing. I'm ready for another now... Yum..
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
We spent most of the trip relaxing with travel companions and new friends we met on board. However we did spend some time, hit and miss, at the casino. That made the trip very well worth it! We walked away with enough money to pay for the trip!! Talk about luck!!!
Pools were very clean and kept in good shape, very safe for the kids (and big kids) too.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
The trip we took was cut short in Mexico and that meant no time for ALL programs. The show slot was filled with a meeting about (details) about travel changes impacting those on board with connecting flights, hotel reservations, etc. and what the cruse line was doing to assist all passengers on board with questions. Bingo was fun and the prizes were super cool!
Children's Programs
4 out of 5
EVERYTHING we looked at would have been fun for the kids, from little one's to teen's. Every child we saw was having a blast and I only saw one that did not have an ice cream in hand.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Our room service & staff was top notch!!!+ Aswar, our room steward, was asked once upon meeting the first time for ice and the bucket was NEVER with out it (we had some medical Rx. that needed to be kept chilled). *The room refrigerator was not cold when we got into the room so this was very important! The dinner team lead "Nevena" was very good with suggestions. Sadly one dinner was served mildly warm, she was very prompt to address my meal and correct the issue. She also has a wonderful sense of humor. Breakfast was led by team leader with the first letter "B". I'm sorry to say my notes misspelled his name. He too was splendid!! Great service and info about the food... Sorry.
Our Bartenders!! Yeah Buddy! The bars have staff that rotate bar-to-bar. That being said the most fun was had at the Alchemy Bar. Nathan was full of great concoctions from this specialty bar to great suggestions for the mood we felt. **Alchemy was the best bar on the ship.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
I found that the lay of the ship was easy to grasp and made movement very easy!! Found a laundry area for us to use as well!! Everything we needed was easily at hand or a call away!
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
The accommodations were larger than I had thought. The bed was most comfortable, sheets clean and soft. The room & bathroom were both very. very clean!! The two bed's placed together were quite seamless.
Note: Refrigerator was not "on" and took over half a day to get cold. Ice was needed for this area in regards to RX's brought along.
** I'm glad there was NO scale in the room!!
Ship tip
Bring along a lanyard with a clear pocket to carry your room key/ship charge card/cash. And a bottle of wine.
Getting of the ship was a quick process, as was getting back on board. It's just a short walk to the shopping area for gifts to friends. A little common sense will go a long way here. The more you buy the better the price you'll get. Buy something for everyone!!
This was very orderly, prompt and so very easy. I can't stand to hurry up only to stop! We got back to the car in 30min. of leaving the STATEROOM!! Man that was easy.
We could have stayed a few more day's!!
Nice that folks can help each other in times of need. Many good tales from people on extended cruises due to the hurricanes. Not so many stories of traveling home post-cruise. Thanks for sharing.
