Our Carnival Victory cruise was our son's first cruise. This family vacation was one of our best so far, thank you Carnival for Helping us build memories to last a life time.
Embarkation

Being former cruisers, we knew what to expect. It went very smoothly. What really helps, is the ability to take care of a lot of details online prior to your cruise.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
It was so nice to experience fine dining each night. There was a nice variety of entrees to choose from. The wait staff was terrific. I personally got a little bored by the last morning with the daily breakfast buffet, but it was still very good.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
The pools and hot tubs were pretty full most of the time. Being on the ship as a family, we were not using the casino, bars and nightclubs, so not having easier access to the water fun was a little frustrating. We still enjoyed them, they were just very crowded. Hey, it was hot, it's summer, so it's understandable. Larger pools for future ships? That would be nice!
Entertainment

We enjoyed two night's of shows. The cast and band members were so talented!! Excellent!!
Children's Programs
We registered our two sons but they weren't interested in going. We encouraged them, but decided not to force them.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
No complaints!! Our room steward Joaquim was terrific!! He called us all by our first names and kept our state room in tip-top shape!! He was totally worthy the extra tip we gave him.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The Victory is about 17 years old but still very clean. I give it a five star, but some of the interior (not so much the staterooms) could use some updates.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
With all of the great storage available, four of us stayed comfortably in cabin #2385. The bathroom and shower was nice. Great water pressure too! One thing that is probably unavoidable and not Carnival's fault, is that the window was not very clean on the outside.
Ship tip
Do not bother with the ship's wifi plans, it's terrible. As a family, we chose to not purchase wifi so we can have more quality time together. However, on the last day, I bought the $16 per day package so I can plan our trip home and check-in for our flight. I couldn't get on one website, so I upgraded to their 'premium' wifi plan for $9 more. I still couldn't get on our airline website. I was able to check email and send a texts, but I needed more than that. The woman at the service desk refunded me with no problem. She was aware that people were having problems with the ship's wifi.
Your so right my hubby and I first had a four day cruise as we did not think cruising was for us 18 cruises later had been to amazing places and have great memory's 60 days until we leave Australia on our next adventure 😎🍹countdown 🌊
