Review summary

As our first cruise, we weren't as impressed as everyone else made it out to be before we left. However, we talked to a couple other couples and they agreed with us. There was a lot of people and kids, there was a constant wait every time we went to Lido Deck for lunch. We would wait at least 15 minutes to get our food. Not very impressed, to be honest.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We bought the Faster to the Fun package and I highly recommend it. It made embarkation and debarkation simple, quick and easy.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
This was our first cruise, but I heard that other cruises were 100% better than our experience. The food was decent, nothing spectacular.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Not many pools available for adults, the majority of the pools were overruled by children.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The bars, the casino, the comedy club and the nightclub was entertaining.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
We don't have kids, but considering the amount of children that were on this cruise, they seemed to enjoy it all.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Like any kind of experience, some staff was spectacular and some staff not so much.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The ship's design was incredibly confusing. We got lost quite a few times. Overall, the ship was very clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
For an interior cabin, we were pleased. There was only two of us and I think there was more than enough room. Even the bathroom was nice. Everything was neat and tidy when we arrived and when we left for the day. The staff on our deck was friendly and attentive.

Ship tip

If you don't like to wait in lines (for food) or if you don't like a lot of children running around, don't go on Carnival Victory 4 day cruise.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida Did not visit port

Key West, Florida

4 out of 5
We went parasailing at the port and it was spectacular. The only downfall I would say is that we did not get enough time at this port.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
We really enjoyed Cozumel. We went to Isla Pasion via Twister boat as one of the excursions and it was awesome.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Simple, quick and easy with the Faster to the Fun.

I love kids as long as they are well behaved....I always cruise summer and rarely notice kids

That's why we travel in the fall and winter when kids are in school.

Carnival is a "FAMILY" cruise line, which means, there will in deed be kids.

Best to go when "kids" are in school... You will still have children on the ship, but not as bad as the summer months... Just my thoughts.

Heck, sometimes you wait in line 15 minutes at a Drive-Thru.

when I get food at a restaurant I wait at least 15 minutes
