Review summary

No hot food for lunch and dinner for non meat eaters. The vegetarian dishes had meat broth in them and could not be eaten. I think if I pay the same fare for food as a meat eater. I should be able to fill my plate with lots of hot food, that a vegan or vegetarian can enjoy. Here's a suggestion make a section with a card for only vegetarian can get food from. The chef can prepare hot tofu dishes. There are many dishes with soy or tofu the chef can make.

It's probably because different people have different priorities. I'm a full time homemaker, so I cook 3 meals a day almost every day. That means the food on the ship is important to me because I don't have to plan the menus or cook it. But I'm not big on swimming so I don't care about the size of the ship's pools. My husband grew up on water and Loves to swim and do waterside For him, being able to swim and do the slide matter, but he could care less about the food, just as long as he doesn't have to cook it. My daughter loves to shop, so having a bunch of places at every port to shop at, is critical to her, but I'm not big on shopping, so I don't care if the port has shops. All of us love being on a cruise and the smell of the ocean and getting away from it all, but different aspects of cruising are important to us.

Why do u let food determine if ur cruise was good or not

I'm not a Vegetarian but I have been seated with Vegetarians and they had no problems finding meals to order in the Main Dining Room that DIDN'T contain meat broth. And if you're Vegan, I believe you can contact Carnival up to 3 weeks before your cruise to arrange for Vegan dinners in the MDR. They do the same for those who keep Kosher.

I'm with you on them creating a wider vegetarian/vegan menu however! I LOVE TO EAT!!!😂😂😂

I'm a vegetarian, and I NEVER have an issue with a wide selection. BUT to let you know, the tofu steak was horrible!!! I would stray away the processed crap on the ships(tofu/soy), and stick to actual vegetarian/whole food dishes... THEY are tasty.😝There are Mediterranean Indian options, which are both vegan/vegetarian. There's less for vegans, but still plentiful, and A LOT more for vegetarians. From the spring rolls on the appetizer section, to the spinach stuffed Portobello mushrooms and zucchini and eggplant parmigiana.

You can get hot pasta dishes, veggie burgers and other things. IF YOU go on the carnival website or to MDR when you get on the ship. Do your homework. The Victory is an awesome ship
