Review summary

We were not told until we got in customs at embarking that our itinerary had changed.  We were supposed to stop in Freeport and Nassau but because of the hurricane there was too much damAge to stop there.  We stayed on the ship for an extra day each way because our new port of call was grand Turk.  When we got to grand Turk, we found out our shore excursions were cancelled, so we got off the ship for three hours then got back on, but we did get a t shirt.  It was a thousand dollar tee shirt though.  The dining experience was very poor also, small quantities and poor quality.  The Ship itself was very nice, very clean, lots of deck areas, chairs and lounges for everyone, no complaints there. Entertainment was very good also.

We just got back on the Victory and the whole cruise was a blast. Plenty of good food. Great night shows and the day tour of Nassau was good.We were on deck 10 with a balcony and the view was fantastic. Cant say anything but good about the cruise or the service.

You didn't read your email or you didn't give them email. I knew 4 days before cruise we were only going to Nassau. We were refunded for port charges on cruise.

Is it just me or does a low star rating given to a Carnival ship always come with no actually cruise saved to the profile? I know some people can encounter issues but reviews like these are not beneficial to anyone and kill ship ratings.

Feel the portion is too small...order more portions. Problem solved. You can order whatever and however much you want.

All it would have taken was simple common sense, and paying attention to know that both of these islands were ravaged by the hurricane and likely not able to support cruiseships! I was on the Valor while the hurricane was going on. We lost Grand Turk as the waves were too high, and as we passed Hati, and the Bahamas we could see debris in the water... I mean lumber, entire trees, palm branches, clothing, etc. Common sense is to keep an eye on the weather and conditions at the ports on your trip starting 3-4 weeks prior to a cruise. The cruiseline can't control the weather, they can't control port conditions... and if you had booked excursions, and a port is canceled, you have to rebook new excursions. They make announcements of this the first day of a cruise when ports change... and clearly say when and where the excursion desk is open. All part of cruising folks... pay attention! Lol

Lets be grateful you were able to take a cruise at all!!! Shouldnt just spending quality time with your family away from home be enough!! These people want you on their island as much as you want to be there but a cat 4 hurricane just came through and devastated the whole island!!! At least they took you somewhere else they didnt have to do that!!! These people are killing me with all their "me,me,me" i understand you paid for certain things but at the same time lets think about all the lives and homes that was lost and just make the best out of thr situation you were given!!! Grand Turks is beautiful take advantage of that....smh!!!

Shouldn't complain about small portions. You can order as much as you want.

We love the beach area at Grand Turk that's right next to pier. Convenient and easy to go there for awhile, get back on ship for lunch, then go back to beach.

Sorry that weather changed your ports,  but weather is not the cruise line fault.  They did a good job at keeping your safe and away from the storm.   This is part of cruising in storm season.  Glad to hear the ship was nice and clean.
