Review summary

The only reason I had an enjoyable time was because of the group we went with. The food was not good at all. There were not many adult activities except for the evening. Our excursion was canceled but they offered us a free trip to the beach and stated they would provide food and drink (which is what our excursion provided) but they didn't and we were torrential down poured on the entire time even though they stated we wouldn't be. The adults only section was where we spent most of out time but 2 hot tubs is not enjoyable. I'm not sure why there wasn't a pool or why it was located right next to the slide and the kids areas. I don't think I would ever come back on Carnival :( at least not this particular vessel.

There was an adults only pool , not sure why y'all didn't find it on the back on the boat

I'm glad you had wonderful times on their ships, that means you have wonderful memories to take with you. This is what every person hopes for when they go on vacation. Unfortunately, this was not the case for me and my family. I know they just don't close down slides because they feel like it, but when you take the experience as a whole it leaves a lasting impression.

I've been on carnival 3 times and have not had any problems..weather cannot be controlled and I'm sure there was a reason for the slide being closed. I am sure they didn't close it cuz they felt like it. And the cruise is not a cat in the hat cruise. They have activities that are cat and hat inspired. As for other guests acting inappropriately that is on them not carnival

And Macu, I COMPLETELY agree with your statement. It was hard with a family of 5 but I'd rather save up for 3 years to get the best experience. I'll be lucky if I can get my fiance on any other ship considering this was his first...and what he states is his last :(

We discussed the daily tips ....but I have not been reached by carnival as of yet. I know they have bigger issues to deal with. I just want my experience heard. Unfortunately, my children 15, 12 and 8 stayed in the room most of the time. I really tried to make the best of it, but there wasn't much to do. There was so many people and very limited space for everyone. The deck was being fixed during the sail away party and I read afterwards from another cruiser that 1 week prior the same deck was being fixed. I will continue to contact the cruise line and hopefully these issues will be addressed for future patrions.

@jeventas.. Did you get any compensation? My kids love to go on cruises just for slides, food, and pool activity.. they didn't care for camp and we are going on Victory in December.

We experienced many low points on this ship as well. What was advertised as a cat in the Hat cruise to bring kids on became a drunken booze cruise. The slide wasnt working for all of our 5 day cruise, except for 4 hours, the kids pool never opened the entire trip, puking in the pool and people leaving poop on deck 1 and deck 5. The employee that had to clean that on her knees with a bucket and scrub brush looked as though she was going to cry. My children spent most of the cruise in the room and we made rime pass by sleeping. I am disgusted how this trip turned out.
