Review summary

We booked an aft balcony suite, big mistake, there was NO air movement and so stifling hot we could not sit out there at all, but the ants liked it. They cancelled our shore excursion because not enough people signed up for it, the expensive cheese and cracker tray we ordered was delivered (an hour late) with stale individually wrapped saltine crackers.

You have to walk through a smoky casino to get to the main dining room and show areas.

The jewelry deals that "Brick" touts are BS, do not bother buying the book he is selling, total waste of money. There are NO VIP DEALS!!! The ports are very sketchy and scary, there is razor and barbed wire all around the yards of houses and businesses. DO NOT venture out. Very high crime rates in Nassau.

We booked an excursion to Atlantis, very over priced for what you get and there is a lot of walking involved.

The breakfast & dinner food in the main dining room was good. The pizza was ok, the rest is buffet quality. The wait staff are real hard working and fantastic!

The song and dance shows at night were very entertaining, between the shows and Ryan, the cruise director, they were the best things on this ship.

I would NOT go back on this ship or to this cruise location.

Reuben and Alvin were wonderful and hard working fellows, I hope they do well in life. It is hard to be away from their families for so long, and we appreciate their kindness!

Didn't like the design of the ship, you have to travel through the smoky casino to get to most places. The bathroom in our cabin smelled bad, toe nail clippings on our balcony, kids spit on the rails and glass.

Way too hot, no air movement, had ants and someone's toenail clippings! Kids spit down from above so there was chunky spit on our rail and glass.

Natalie: I was on the Victory in May, it was a GREAT cruise. We had a couple of Balcony's on 9, cabin was clean, balcony was clean, good room steward staff, good food in the MDR and great service in the MDR.

I think you and the kids will have a great time. Do not let a few bad reviews scare you off. I have cruised Carnival, RCI, NCL, HAL and Celebrity, all have good and bad aspects, enjoy the ship for what it has to offer, it is older and does not have all the amenities of the new ships but still has a lot to offer.

This is an old ship just like the Conquest...been on both. Somehow cruised on the Conquest twice.

Unfortunately that is what you get with Carnival...I have learned that over the years. Give RC or Celebrity(owned by RC) a try.

Well, I will just be optimistic that everything will be fine. I booked the cruise without really checking reviews on the specific ship because for me it's not really about the ship and everything about destination and price. Plus, this time I'm taking my teens so I'm on a budget. I guess you get what you pay for, overall I'm sure it will be fine. A cruise is a cruise and I love cruising! ⛴⛴😎🌴🐠

I also was on this past sailing Thursday thru Sunday and have been on numerous Carnival boats. We were not impressed with Victory. Doing floor repairs by the pool all day everyday and the serenity pool closed because it was broken was a let down... Was not impressed with the overall of this boat. Staff was nice and food was just ok...... But we made the best of it all and enjoyed ourselves....

@nataliecoriano looking at your past cruises I think your going to be unsatisfied. Although I hate Norwegian the gem and a few others you been on are better than the Victory. I personally liked the ship but I'm just going by your past cruises...

You can get saltine crackers and cheese at the buffet on your own don't have to wait an hour. There are other ways to the go, you don't have to go through the casino to get around the ship.
