Review summary

Overall the cruise on Carnival Victory to the Bahamas was satisfactory. The staterooms smell a bit like bathrooms all the time. After you are in your room for a little while you don't notice it so much, but at first it was yucky and surprising because the room looked very clean. So I'm not sure where the smell comes from. Shore excursions purchased through Carnival are a bit pricey for what you receive. Most of the ship crew/staff were very pleasant and helpful. Food was satisfactory and plentiful.

Cabin / Stateroom

Small, dark, and smelly. But, the price was less expensive that higher quality rooms, so probably you get what you pay for.

Ship tip

Bring a lot of patience for Embarkation and Debarkation. Crowded and very slow. Highly recommend NOT checking your bags. Carry your bags, otherwise you have to wait for hours once you board for the porters to return your bags to you. Carry your bags off the ship and you get off boat before others.
