Review summary

This ship was not at all what we expected. Most of the crew members were not very friendly, we would tell them hi or good morning and they would look at us like we were stupid. The food on the ship (both in the dining room and in the buffet line) was of very poor quality. The food in the dining room was cold when we received it. The hamburgers and deli food was ok, not great. The prices of the pictures Carnival crew takes during the cruise are really high, $24 for an 8x10 of a picture printed on glossy printer paper is a rip off. The debarktation process is not organized at all, it was a fiasco. Someone took the wrong luggage and went home with our luggage, we still don't know where one piece of our luggage is. I would not recommend this ship or cruise line. This was the second cruise we took on Carnival and were disappointed both times. We thought we would give Carnival another chance, what a wrong move.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
The food quality was very POOR! The food was not good and was cold when we received it in the dining room. The buffet was not good either. The best food was the hamburges and deli, how can you mess up a hamburger or ham sandwich.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The nightly shows were of average quality, it was of high school quality dance team dancers. The magician was ok, but some of his props did not work and he did not perform some of his tricks because of this. The comedians were pretty good and funny.

Service and Staff

1 out of 5
Most of the staff was not very friendly, we would tell them hi or goodmorning and they would just look at us like we were stupid. On the other hand, our Stewart was very nice and did a wonderful job cleaning our room and keeping it stocked with ice.

Ship Quality

The ship was a nice size, but not a very good layout.

Cabin / Stateroom

The state rooms (we had a balcony) was very small, but the bed was comfortable.

Ports of call

Basseterre, St. Kitts

We did the 4x4 excursion, we were told (by the excursion desk on the ship) that we would drive the 4x4 to explore the island and rain forest, but they evidently told us the wrong information. The beach we went to was not very pretty. We did not like the locals approaching us every couple of minutes asking if we needed a taxi ride somewhere. That was very annoying.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

Beautiful beach! We did not like the locals approaching us every couple of minutes (while trying to relax and enjoy the beach) if we wanted to buy something or wanted a massage. That was very annoying.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

This port was ok, the weather was overcast and light rain throughout the day. The dolphin excursion we booked was cancelled because the water was TOO Rough, however the snorkling excursion was not. I was really disappointed.

Castries, St. Lucia
