Hard to swallow for Foodies

Sail Date: August 18, 2008

Reviewed: 8 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

Waiting on lines for mediocre to bad food is not my idea of a good vacation. Halifax is a great little city I would go see it again just not with this cruiseline.

Pros: The room and Halifax

Cons: The so called food

Recommends Carnival Victory? No.

Food and Dining
our servers were great and the little shows they put on after the meals were entertaining but the food was terrible. My steak the first night was so tough i dont think my dog could have eaten it.
Entertainment
Not well defined or laid out .odd times for shows and poor quality. Lots of bingo if your into that.
Ship Quality
the balcony room was very clean and comfortable. The pools were tiny and filled with kids.
Service and Staff
Cabin / Stateroom
The television was a bit limited but everything else was comfortable.
Saint John, New Brunswick
very walkable town . Interesting architecture. Had a great lobster roll.
Halifax, Nova Scotia
easy to take in the city in a short time .lots of good resteraunts and pubs. The public gardens were beutiful.
Don't Miss: Seafood at the peer.
