Review summary
Our cabin was located on the 6th floor mid ship. It was the Carnival Victory cabin #'s 6371 and #6373. Unfortunately, it was directly over the band in the casino. The noise from the casino was not a problem, however the blasting noise from the band was overwhelming in our cabin. Each and every night we complained to the Purser's desk, along with other people from the surrounding cabins. We asked to have the band stop at 12 midnight, which we felt was reasonable. But Carnival would not sacrifice "entertainment" for a few unhappy guests. Each evening, the band was performing for about 4 - 5 people in that bar. One solution was to put the kareoke in that spot one night! It was even worse. We did not sleep the entire cruise. Another problem, the entertainment was poor. After cruising with NCL last year, we expected similar entertainment. Carnival does not come close to NCL's entertainment. The cruise director on the carnival ship was rarely seen on the ship. NCL's cruise director was every where. The Chief purser did try to help by giving us credit on our cards etc. and 20% off our next trip. That 20% discount will never be redeemed because we will never cruise with Carnival again.Ship experiences
