Review summary

If you are not ok with lines, enjoy football both College and Pros,but can't see it except in 1 bar, like getting on your fav slot machine, getting drinks in a timely fashion in the Casino, and some help that needs far more training in Hospitality, than Venezia is 4 you. I'm back on it next month and at this point not looking forward to it.

Breakfast is typical fare. Easily accessible.Midnight Buffet long line but good selection once you get to food. Slow to restock.Pizza at rear of the ship long line and very slow. Need warming racks or thermal units to make ahead. Can't keep up.

Guy's Burger Joint

I typically wait till mid cruise to do my Guys Burger.Did it today Tues.Sept 10th.Line started building at 11:50.Got in Line.Our guy disappeared and only one side being served.About 8 minutes later he returned. My turn I order a cheeseburger and a pepperoni burger. You guessed it no fried Mozzarella.He gives me my 2 burgers and says he will have mozz.in 5 minutes. This cruise has been 1 gigantic cluster f--k.

Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge

Seats about 60 people. New York Cruise and Rogers first game. People sitting on the floor and no football anywhere else. Big screen showing a movie and about 8 people watching.

Marco Polo Restaurant

38 th Cruise. One reason we sail R.C. and Carnival is MDR setup.With same table and Wait staff nightly. Every night I always have,for the entire cruise a Manhattan and a Pinot Noir I try to make it easy for the wait staff. First time in 38 cruises I was told they can't do that. Now so far every night I have gotten wine first and Manhattan w Dinner.Food has been very good.

Casino not only impossible to get drinks in a timely fashion but now getting on a slot is damn near impossible. I finally went down at 4:00a.m. and got on a slot. Venues extremely undersized for ships capacity.

Thanks for the tips but luckily none of those complaints you mentioned would bother me so I can’t wait to sail on the Venezia. Everyone has different likes and dislikes of course. At least you know what to expect next time.

It sounds like you still had a decent time. I’m on board soon so thanks for letting me know about the slots. I do normally go early morning to be away from those who never move but don’t appear to be playing either!

I think you should base your itinerary on the crowd. When I d'jayed Weddings I had a plan but if the plan didn't work I adapted to the crowd. Rap music and Hip hop on the sail away with avg age 60 or more was poor planning. And not switching the Jet game to the Outdoor screen was not good planning. I don't need a critique and suggestions when to and not to cruise. After 40 cruises I think I can offer constructive criticism. This ship has some flaws and my overall rating was very kind.

Appreciate your feedback. This is this first season that Carnival has gotten a contract to receive most American football games. It is appropriate for it to be shown in the “sport bars”. If football is that important to you, I recommend you avoid cruising during football season. Sorry this cruise didn’t meet your expectations.
