Arrived at noon, checked in and walked thru in 20 minutes. We were platinum, so they honored the priority check in.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
IL Viaggo, we ate at the Italian restaurant the first night and received a complimentary bottle of wine. We had the bean zuppa, very hearty and delicious flavor. Also had the pasta with pork and tomato sauce, very tasty. Great service, never waited long for food or drinks. Marketplace buffet, average food, breakfast was the same everyday. Seaday brunch, excellent food choices, do not miss the brunch! Loved the Guy burgers, always tasty.

Steakhouse

5 out of 5

Excellent food and service. Warning, We ate early at 5:30 and the restaurant was extremely cold.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Almost all adult passengers, so the casino was extremely busy. Bingo and DeL or no deal was fun but crowded.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The DJ in the piazza was fun. The cruise director Joey performed in the piazza with the musicians and DJ. The comedy shows were great.

Teatro Rosso

4 out of 5

Epic rock was very good, with modern music.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward Budi kept our room clean and tidy. The dining room service was very efficient, and we were served our whole meal in an hour. Booking our dinner on the app, worked out great.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Loved the Venician style decor. The piazza was very pretty with the sky ceiling, tall pillars and the gold and glass accents.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Average size cabin with balcony. Two large closets, with 3 drawers for storage. Nice size shower, with body wash/shampoo combo soap. We bring our own soap and shampoo, the generic soap was not good. The cabin walls were thin, we heard the neighbors tv all the time.

Ship tip

Get to the shows 30 minutes early, especially the comedy show.

Ports of call

Halifax, Nova Scotia

5 out of 5
A beautiful port with a nice boardwalk. Take the boardwalk to sightsee and souvenir shop. We also walked 5 blocks to a grocery supermarket for snacks and soda pop. Do not miss the Peggy’s cove excursion, a scenic tour thru fishing villages and the ocean shoreline.

Sydney, Nova Scotia

5 out of 5
A beautiful port in a country side setting. We took the 7 hour Cabot Trail excursion. Lots of scenic stops, only one shopping stop at a Gaelic college store.

Saint John, New Brunswick

5 out of 5
The port had a few boutique stores on the pier. Go across the street to shop at a few nice souvenir stores. Lots of pot smokers in town.

New York, New York

Disembarkation

We walked off with our luggage at 9 am. A long walk thru the terminal, but we breezed thru quickly. Once we exited the terminal it was mass confusion, with massive traffic, people finding shuttles, Ubers and taxis.
