Review summary

We had a great time in this cruise. The cruise was pretty much sold out but ship never felt crowded. If you get a chance book a cruise on the Venezia. We fell in love with the Italian theme. Absolutely beautiful ship.

Embarkation

Embarkation was smooth. No hiccups

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We thought the food was great. The only complaint was the seafood pasta they served one night in the dining room was not that good. The calamari was like rubber. We did not experience any long lines at any of the food venues the entire cruise. The fist night we went to Bonsai Teppanyaki. Food was excellent.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We enjoyed playing bocce ball. There are plenty of things to do on the ship but we didn’t have time to experience them all.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Can’t comment too much on the entertainment because we didn’t go to the shows but I thought the performers around the ship were very good. My husband and boys went to one of the adult comedy shows and thought the comedian was pretty funny.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
I am giving service 4 stars. Overall the service was great however our room steward had to be the worst one we’ve ever had. She never came around to introduce herself. She charged us for the water in the room even though we never opened them. Guest services took the charge off and said they would speak to her about that. We didn’t make a big stink about it but we didn’t leave her an extra tip

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship was clean. Didn’t see dirty dishes in the hallways like we’ve seen on other ships.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Room 2326 is a cove balcony room. The room was nice. Love that the shower had a glass door rather than the dreaded shower curtains. The only thing that was sort of negative was the bed wasn’t as comfortable as on some of the other Carnival ships

Ports of call

New York, New York

5 out of 5
Loved sailing from NYC. I thought the port was nice and easy to get to. We used Uber from our hotel in Time Square to get to the port. We spent 3 days in NYC after the cruise and decided to walk to hotel from the port. It was an easy 20 minute walk to Time Square.

King's Wharf, Bermuda

5 out of 5
Absolutely love Bermuda. This was my husband and my second time cruising to Bermuda but our sons first time. Our boys fell in love with Bermuda also.

Disembarkation

Very smooth and quick
