Overall the cruise was great, good food, entertainment and staff. The only drawbacks for us were the pool and the kids club.
Embarkation
2 out of 5
Very long lines, disorganized and poor crowd management. We left almost 2 hours late.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The Venezia is a beautiful ship with lots of activities everyday. The food and wait staff were great.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
We had a blast at the ropes course, mini golf and ping pong were fun, the fitness center was great as well. The kids enjoyed the waterslides but larger kids and adults were likely to get stuck and need to push themselves along. There are two pools onboard, both significantly too small for the amount of people on the ship.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Our group really enjoyed the comedy shows, both kid-friendly and adult versions as well as the stage shows and the piano bar.
Children's Programs
2 out of 5
Our kids tried Kids club the first day and couldn't wait to get out of it. The first day was extremely busy which may have overwhelmed the team there leading to little interaction or structure. Our kids refused to go back the rest of the trip.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Great service from all staff we interacted with.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Common areas were very well maintained. The elevators caused a lot of confusion the first few days.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
The cabin set up fit four of us pretty comfortably for a small room. Good amount of storage and housekeeping was great.
Ship tip
Set low expectations on the pool, it was very difficult to be anywhere near it, never mind in it. Floor 5 was by far our favorite place to hang out. Be sure to get an early pass for the boat to Half Moon Cay.
The beach is immaculate! Lots of activities available nearby. We did the horseback riding excursion and had an amazing time. The excursion staff was great. There is no pier at this port, we were fortunate enough to get on an early boat to the island, some folks were pretty frustrated that they couldn't get there until later in the day.
