Review summary

After being on a RC cruise earlier this year I will stay away from The smaller ships like Valor. Not as many choices and better food are big deals for me but this was a quick inexpensive trip so all in all we got more than we paid.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Easy to get on the ship but parking was terrible!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The staff was awesome. The drinks in the specialty bars weee great. But the food left us wanting more, maybe add lobster and escargot?

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Outside pool was clean, hot tubs worked and the big screen movie experience was good.

Entertainment

We did not make any shows on this trip.

Children's Programs

No children on this trip.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The service was some of the best I have every encountered except for the free drinks in the casino. That was very slow.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Well maintained, the usual small things out of service like one water dispensers, one ice machine and one drink area.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We had 4 adults in this cabin. It was small but we managed and it was always clean and well taken care of.

Ship tip

Expect a crowded main inside area in the middle of the ship. We didn’t like the way the photos were handled

Ports of call

New Orleans, Louisiana

3 out of 5
Bourbon street was loud and crowded as usual.

Cozumel, Mexico

4 out of 5
No good swimming near the cruise terminal but we did explore the beach about 15 minutes away and it was great.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Smooth and easy.
