Review summary

Sailing in January is far different than in April. The weather is iffy, but it was more laid back for us. The only regret was that 4 days wasn't long enough.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Could NOT have been easier!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
We requested anytime dining months prior to sailing, and was assigned 6pm. We ate in the Steakhouse, the MDR, and the Lido, and found the food taste and quality was spotty. Guys Burgers, the Deli, and the Blue Iguana were great. The seafood spot was good-not great, but good.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The main pool and Serenity Deck were closed the first seaday due to rough seas and wind. We enjoyed the Prometheus pool area and our own balcony!

Entertainment

3 out of 5
We listened to some good music. The early comedy shows were ok, and as much as we enjoy a piano bar, we left because of a group of people determined to be louder than the performer! The 70's show just didn't hold much appeal for us.

Children's Programs

No kids!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward, Elmer, did an outstanding job, and so did most of the other staff. Room service was timely and tasty.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Very clean, well maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
It was clean! And quiet for the most part. We had plenty of room for the two of us.

Ship tip

Avoid the give a ways and presentations.

Ports of call

New Orleans, Louisiana

5 out of 5
New Orleans is a great city, and the port is situated just a few blocks from the French Quarter. Easy parking for the cruise, and the staff was cheerful and helpful.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
We made our 3rd visit to Mr. Sanchos! The only thing I don't like about this stop is the long mall your have to walk through. We call it "The Gauntlet!"

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
With faster to the fun, we had the option of a late disembarkation. We had breakfast and strolled off the ship!

Glad you had a good time. I agree 4 days isn’t long enough. We won’t do less then 7 but prefer 9-12.
