I would cruise carnival again on the right boat but Valor would likely not be a ship I would choose again. As for Kevin the cruise director, he worked my nerves, he was loud and always hanging on one of the female workers. It was a little odd to see him kissing on her head during the Christmas lighting show. But, the being loud did work to our advantage, for the first time we could actually hear and understand the announcements.

I have to say I am not a fan of cruise food, but these cruises were a bit below my expectations. In the past I really loved Guys burgers but this time I found them greasy and really lacking flavor.

As expected, the ship is old but fairly well maintained. The team put in a lot of effort trying to maintain they ship.
Cabin / Stateroom

The site listed the bed as a king but was a queen. The room is a bit smaller balcony than I have had in the past but that is likely due to it being in the back of the ship. Just as a heads up it is right under the lido deck near the back, they apparently mop the floors or something around 3:30 or so in the morning. It got loud in there from the chairs moving and such. It wasn't a bit deal as we are normally up by 4:00 or so. The room was a tad bit warm but we had read the reviews and took a portable fan with us. It was just fine with that extra help.
We should have listened to the other reviews. We got off the boat and took the free buss to the port. As expected, the people hounded you for the sales and that is OK, a friendly NTY and they would leave you be. That was until we got to the beach, there was one man trying to sell me his sister, between that and the 7 or so dogs roaming the beach we left and didn't get off the second time we stopped.
