While this cruise was a short one and also rough the first day due to a storm, it was wonderful!!! Things are what you make of them. We are not super picky/critical. Any cruise is a good cruise!
Embarkation

Embarkation gets 5 stars! It was easy and went smoothly. Getting to embarkation gets 3 stars. Due to Tropical Storm Barry, we parked in New Orleans but were bussed to Mobile to get on the ship. Considering the conditions and sheer number of people that had to be transported 2 hours away, Carnival did a pretty decent job. Where they didn't do well was not providing a couple comforts for those waiting to be transported. No water or food for part of us. From 11:30 to 6:30, we waited in a very long line to board buses that we also had to wait for. Carnival could have been better prepared for something like this.

Everything was great! Some people will be extremely critical of everything. (1st world probs) We were very pleased with all parts of the ship. The staff was attentive, the food was good, everything was clean...always.

Onboard Activities

All we want to do is lounge in areas where we aren't surrounded by loud music and people. Obviously we aren't into partying. ha . So the Serenity deck was our favorite hang out.

We enjoy listening to the various music opportunities available in the different venues around the ship. We actually didn't go to any of the main shows.

This was my 11th cruise with Carnival. It was nice to know the location of things like restrooms because the locations are about the same on all of their ships. I liked the design of this ship better that I have others (pepto bismol decor).
Cabin / Stateroom

Our cabin steward kept everything nice and clean during our trip. There was no couch in this inside cabin. Not sure if
We have been to Cozumel numerous times. We generally create our own excursions and explore the island. This time we just walked around. The people are always friendly even when trying to push their wares. I've never felt unsafe when visiting Cozumel and we always go outside of the port shops.
Everything went smoothly and rather quickly. It seems Carnival is always tweaking disembarkation to make it be that way. If people would just listen and do what they are told instead of clogging stairways while waiting for their deck to be called.
