For our first cruise we loved it and are differently taking the kids next time. We met a lot of people and it was just a fun time. I don't we did everything we would have liked to but we know now for the next time we go. it was a great time and would recommend it to everyone.

My husband forgot his birth certificate and they were very helpful and told us what we needed to do in order to make it on the cruise. we just needed to get a photo copy of the original. and we were on the boat shortly after.

The main dinning room was nice it was a little hard to find at first. Our wait staff was very nice. Yen, Mary, and Wayan were great. we didn't do and specialty restaurants this ship only had one place that you had to pay for and some steak items on the main dining menu. the buffet had a lot of choices we ate there for breakfast mostly. and Guy's burgers and BlueIguana Cantina were pretty good as well .
Onboard Activities

the pool was cold but there were 4 hot tubs we enjoyed and the slide was fun. the fitness center was bigger than i thought it would be but we did use it. there was also a small basketball court, mini golf, ping pong.
Entertainment

the shows were good there was a magic show and other musical shows, Karaoke, and the sing-a-long piano bar.

Service and Staff

All the staff was great we had great service from our waiters. Yen, Mary, and Wayan. Our room steward was great any time I ask for something Mr. Gusti was happy for bring it to us.
Ship Quality

The ship is old and its about to go in to be turned into a new ship the Carnival Sunrise. This ship was very clean I always saw the staff cleaning.
Cabin / Stateroom

I like our cabin it was bigger than I thought it would be and the bed was very comfortable. Our room was clean. the blow dryer broke but I called Mr. Gusti the room steward and it was fixed that same day.
Ship tip
since we had great service I wish we would have brought more cash to tip them an additional tip because I felt that we got exceptional service.
this was a fun port lots of places to shop its touristy but that is what I expected we did not book with the cruise line we booked an excursion with the shipmate app. and it was great got back in enough time to do some shopping. We went on an ATV tour in the jungle and swam in a cenote.
This port was different it was a long way from the beach took a free bus to Progreso beach. was asked a lot and I do mean a lot to buy stuff. still had a good time but would have been better at one of the private beach resorts or another excursion.
