Overall we had a great time. While we were very happy with the cruise line, we probably would not choose these ports of call again. And in the future we will probably stick with Carnival excursions. The spotty internet connection was a downside. I don't feel I got my money's worth, even though I understand some things are beyond the control of the cruise line - but I suspect limited bandwidth was an issue. Personally I feel internet access should be included in the cost of the cruise. I was also a little disappointed in the onboard shopping. "Tax free and duty free" is a great incentive to make purchases, but in hindsight the purchases were not that great of a deal.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
Long lines, but everyone was pleasant and accomodating.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
We did not visit any specialty restaurants, but the service in the dining room was excellent, as was the food. The same could be said for the buffets.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
The only activity we participated in was sitting by the pool for a while - the days at sea were overcast and at times rainy. We're not rock climbers or fitness types. I don't think I can give a fair evaluation, but since I have to, I'll give it a 4 based on what seemed to be available.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Some of the DJs were too loud for our taste, but we enjoyed the two musical productions we watched.
Children's Programs
No children.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
No complaints here! They were all pleasant and professional.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
Some areas were closed off due to repairs or some other reason. This made navigating to some of the restaurants and other places a little confusing. Not sure what was going on, but it seems it should have been taken care of in port.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Very comfortable, and big enough not to feel confined. The picture window to the balcony helped with that. We were very comfortable. Cleanliness was as it should be.
Ship tip
Don't expect a great internet connection. We paid for Social, but it was slow and sometimes non-existant.
