Review summary
Overall the cruise was okay, but when you pay a few thousand dollars okay is not the way you want to describe your trip. The decor was dated and several areas throughout the ship were in need of updates. The overall service on the Triumph in comparison to other carnival cruises was poor. Staff were not nearly as friendly or helpful on this boat. Cozumel was a great destination, but we would not go back to Progresso. The area was depressing. The hurricanes have destroyed several resorts and there is not much to do. Snorkeling is not an option unless you want to do cave snorkeling, which is 1.5 hours from the port. Since it is on the Gulf of Mexico, the water is not clear and blue like the Caribbean sea. Overall, this is not a trip or ship we would choose again.Embarkation
