Review summary

We thoroughly enjoyed our cruise on the Triumph. My teenagers had a wonderful time and relaxed the entire cruise. It was more special for them due to the many crew members that I met during my January cruise that remembered me. They spoiled us during the entire cruise! Take time to get to know the crew.

Embarkation

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
My two teenagers and I had plenty to eat during our cruise. We ate breakfast on the Lido deck every day except one. My daughter and I loved the burgers from Guy's Burger Joint. My son loved the pizza from the Pizza Pirate. We had dinner every night in the London Dining room and our food was always excellent.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There is always plenty to do onboard a Carnival ship. One port day when we returned from our shore excursion we used the whirlpool and waterslides. The slide was a lot of fun.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The Triumph is older but is fairly well maintained. We spoke to a maintenance tech and he stated that all ships need constant maintenance. The crew tries to stay on top of any issues that arise.

Ship tip

Just relax and have a great time! Make an effort to get to know the crew as you never know what might happen!

Ports of call

New Orleans, Louisiana

5 out of 5
We only embark and disembark as we live 3 hours away. The port is very easy to cruise out of and we enjoy sailing down the Mississippi.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
Personally I love Cozumel. There are so many things to do there but usually I end up at Fat Tuesday's for lunch.

Progreso (Merida), Mexico

4 out of 5
We did the Dzibilchaltun Mayan ruins with a cenote swim and it was wonderful! The cenote swim was a unique and fun experience.

Yes, there is plenty of room in an ocean suite for three adults. The room is 275 square feet and the balcony is 65 square feet.

Are the rooms on that level big enough for 3 adults? We will be in 7259.
