Review summary

Stricter enforcement of smoking in cabins. My cabin constantly smelled of smoke, including my clothes. Even the balcony furniture was always covered with ashes. This ruined my cruise. I will think twice about cruise companies that allow smoking and are unable to adequately enforce at a cabin level

There is a reason for the no smoking in cabins. I don't want to be on a ship that catches fire, possibly sink due to ignorance

Nobody should have this problem in ANY cabin! Smoking is forbidden in cabins and on balconies! If you suspect it, report it! This is a fire hazard, that could risk the lives of everyone on that ship! I would have complained loudly and often if this happened to me! I would like a ship to be TOTALLY smoke free, but I know that would never happen. There are designated areas for smoking. Now I don't need any smokers getting on my case about your "right" to smoke, because it is NOT your right to subject me or anyone else with your second hand smoke. If you want to kill yourself with this habit, go for it, but don't think you can subject me to it without hearing me complain loudly! As a retired RN, I've seen first hand what your habit does to people. My advice to the OP--go straight to customer services and complain, and keep complaining until they take care of the offenders.

get a top level cabin. try a ocean view cabin. or an inside cabin. IDK . never had that problem. sorry to hear it
