Review summary

This was our first Carnival Cruise, have been on several with another cruise line so we are not new to the cruising experience.

The ship we were on (triumph) is a very poor design, you cannot get from one end of the ship to the other without navigating several floors.

When we got to our cabin, the room was not clean. There was dirt and even a toenail clipping on the carpet by the foot of the bed.

The furniture in the room was well worn and the corner of the couch was torn.

The windows were so filthy you could not see out of them, I actually took a washcloth and towel from our bathroom and cleaned the balcony glass inside and out.

The floor with the casino on it smelled of smoke, even when several rooms away from the casino.

The food was nothing out of the ordinary, service at dinner was slow, and on one occasion I was complete passed over. They were getting ready to do a short dance show and were more interested in that then servicing the customer.

The entertainment was OK, probably the best was a comedian (Dwight Slade)we seen one night in one of the clubs.

a little disappointed with the entertainment, there were several different things to do. But they were repetitive so once you seen them you were good

Very poor design, hard to navigate. The only floor you could completely go from the front to the back on was deck 8. Room was not clean and the windows all around the ship were filthy

Dirty carpets, toenail clipping on floor. Couch worn out, torn Balcony windows filthy Mouldings in room very dusty Broken vent in bathroom Closet doors would not stay closed

Ship tip

Stay away, choose another ship or cruiseline. Spoke with several other people during this cruise and they were having the same experience

The Triumph was completely restored 4 years ago if that's the case they missed a whole lot like the entire ship. This according to CruiserLG not the case trust me not the case.

I've been on 11 cruises with various cruise lines, and I though Carnival Triumph would match up well with any ship. In my humble opinion, It's a beautiful, well kept, and tastefully decorated ship. It was completely refurbished just 4 years ago. Those who often travel and cruise about, can sometimes take for granted how great we really have it and, when we do that, we deny ourselves the joy and happiness that is there for the taking.

We have been on the Triumph several times and I will be back next month. Yes, the design is not ideal and the interior could use updating, but for the price of the cruise I can't complain. The staff are great and who cares what your cabin looks like- you should be out enjoying yourself!!!

did you pay thousands of dollars for your cruise? I mean just the cruise not excursions. Bc if you did then I would say you paid for top notch no issues type of cruise. But for the cost of carnival cruises don't go in expecting everything to meet your expectations and be perfect. Instead of critiquing everything wrong with the furniture and what not enjoy your vacation negative Nancy. you made your own trip a two star not them.
