Review summary
This cruise served the purpose we were looking for, relaxing. We had sailed on the Allure of the Seas earlier in the year where you had to plan everything but on this cruise we planned nothing and everything we did was spur of the moment.
Embarkation was quick because we had Faster to the Fun. Only problem was we were told our cabin would not be ready until 1:30. I thought with FTTF it would be one of the first to be ready. Once in the cabin it was functional with plenty of storage space. Could have used a refrigerator though. We asked about one but never heard anything about it. Instead we just got a lot of nice to keep our water cold.
The trip was very smooth. We enjoyed Guy's Burger Joint a number of times. We had Your TIme Dining and only had to wait for a while one night. Usually we were seated within 10 minutes. Most of the food in the MDR was pretty good. My wife tried the crab ravioli one night and did not like it and the warm chocolate melting cake was undercooked (it was more like sauce that night) on the last night of the cruise but those were our only problems with the food. We never ate at the buffet. The seaday brunch was great.
We did not plan a shore excursion in Cozumel due to the constantly changing weather forecast. When we arrived we decided to go to Mr. Sanchos and did the free access to the beach. Unless you plan to eat and drink a lot that is the best option.
Debarkation was quick. We did self-assist (our first time) and we were off the ship before we knew it. All in all we had a relaxing time.
