Review summary
I'd say it was one step up from cafeteria food. Sour cream was watered down, Blue cheese dressing watered down, Lobster was not good at all and served with about 1/2 tsp of butter, Flat Iron Steak - couldn't eat as well as the fish. Came down with an intestional problem the last day, pretty sure it was the Caesar salad which had smelled like fish.
Too many so called "activities" were just sales pitches.....spa, foot care, jewelry, you name it. One show was quite good (Illusionist). Other one was okay.
State room was okay, waiters and room steward were great. Rest of staff was hit or miss for friendliness.
This was our first cruise and my husband and I went alone on it. He doesn't get around too well, so that didn't help our situation. Would be more fun with a group of people you know.
Felt the bus ride from the airport to ship would have been more reasonably priced, considering the bus had air conditioning problems and the toilet wasn't operating. Also, on the return to the airport,
we weren't told that we'd be going to Hobby Airport first, making our trip to IAH about 2 hrs long.
Would have been nice to know ahead so could have taken water and been sure to use bathroom first!
Weather was good and seas calm.
