Review summary

The cruise was fun and a great get away. The ship doesn’t always have a lot going on in the evenings beside the main theater shows, which aren’t very good. The comedy shows will fill up quickly, so get in line early.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Embarkation was easy enough, just took a while having to go to multiple locations to board the ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Overall no complaints of the food. Some days was hit or miss with the buffet, but if there was something not good on the buffet there was always another option.

JiJi Asian Kitchen

5 out of 5

JiJi was very good. The food comes out family style. For our family of 5 that went we got to order 3 starters, entrees, sides and then 5 desserts. I enjoyed everything that came out but really liked the kung pao chicken, fried rice, and spring rolls.

RedFrog Pub

5 out of 5

Make sure you stop here on embarkation day for happy hour. Great drinks and environment.

RedFrog Rum Bar

Great drinks and environment.

BlueIguana Cantina

5 out of 5

Burritos and tacos are always good from here. Wish you. Plus get some of the burrito meats on tacos. They will not switch back and forth on the meats.

Onboard Activities

Serenity

4 out of 5

Serenity was very nice to get away from the kids. It is a great place to spend some time. The only downside is people getting chairs and then just leaving a towel there and. It coming back for hours.

Both of my older kids loved hanging out here and wanted to continually go back.

Service and Staff

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship is a nice layout. There are a few spots that require you to go up or down a level to get through but not a pain. The ship is showing its age some with rust and maintenance from a dry dock needed. Overall though it looks great and the staff was continually keeping it clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Cabin is in need of maintenance. Our bathroom door looks like someone attacked it, the door would not close all the way. Paint is starting to chip and you can see the old carnival peach underneath. The beds were not the most comfortable, I could feel a spring biking my back as I laid in bed. Our cabin steward took great care of the room for us though, and everything was good on that side.

Ship tip

Be prepared to wait in line if you go to eat on the lido at a peak time.

Disembarkation

Took a while to get everyone off the shop, not sure if this was due to customs or slow people. Once we were called down it was quick to get off.
