I love to sail but Carnival to me is more for people who like to drink, gamble, club, and not monitor what their teenagers and sometimes younger kids are doing. I like finding towel animals in my room but interior rooms are meant for sleeping and showering. I will always recommend balcony rooms for the enjoyment of both being on the ship and being able to relax in your room...
Embarkation

IT TAKES WAY TO LONG AND THEY TAKE YOU THRU TO MUCH TO GET ON THE SHIP!!!
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
2 out of 5
The dining room food was really good and the service was awesome... They could've done a lot better with buffet meals. They waited too long to bring out more food at times and you had to wait for a few minutes to get certain items. They also shorted you on the bacon... Some of the food was over cooked and dry. They had pasta day and it was undercooked because they didn't expect so many people. They would start closing stations down when the buffet lines were still long and you had to almost at times grab what you could that was free...
Onboard Activities

This ship didn't have much in the way of active fun for adults. If you like to gamble, go to the clubs, or watch sports then this is the ship for you. There wasn't a rock wall, skating rink, trampoline, bowling alley, wave rider, only water slides, pools full of kids, a sports area, gambling, casino, drinking, eating, and long boarding and disembarkation.
Entertainment

The nightly shows were ok, the cast of the show wasn't very energetic and it didn't make you feel as if you wanted to interact with them like they encouraged you to. I didn't enjoy myself as much as i thought i would. The deck parties were fun!!

It was ok. The decor was nice.
Cabin / Stateroom

My cabin carpet had ground in stains and my bed was beyond horrible. No matter what was done to it, it was hard and uneven. the mattress had mold on the underside and the stuart said that it was like that because of the air conditioner being so close to it. Which means other mattresses on the ship might have mold on them also. The cabin size was ok for the 3 of us... The air conditioner wasn't very good and our room was always warm. Our refrigerator didn't work.
Ship tip
If you get an interior room make sure you bring a fan if you get hot at night. Also bring a night light because it becomes really dark. If you bring the 12 cans of soda or water in can only, make sure you carry them on and do not check them or the bottle of wine/champagne you're allowed. They will throw them away or depending on what you bring keep it until the end of your trip.
I love visiting here and this was my 7th time!! I don't like how aggressive the residents are when trying to get you to buy their products. They actively grab you and try to drag you to their store. This is the same problem as with all of the islands i've been to, we're their livelihood and need us for income. You understand but it still annoys you.
This was also messy and not really organized. We were all crowded together and inched our way to the front. Even though we went by numbers people did as the wanted and it made for a very long and packed disembarkation...
I was on the sunshine a few weeks back and there was plenty to do for adults and I don't gamble. 18+ comedians were great and the shows were fun. I know they haven't brought back all activities but they will in time . The serenity decks were amazing.Maybe you should have done research on the Sunshine and known that there was not trampoline, rock walls, roller rinks, rollercoaster and things like that. I've cruised out of many ports and Charleston, SC was extremely easy for getting on and off the ship. Cruising is all in what you make it and I choose to have FUN no matter what.
