Review summary

Except for a disappointing embarkation and a cramped stateroom as a result, we all had a great time.

Embarkation

We had booked adjoining staterooms and boarded having been reassigned to non adjoining. The solution put my daughter's family of 4 in a stateroom accommodating only 3 at best. We were asked to accept or decline with the promise of a cot being brought in for the 2nd child. Our response was that we'd have to try it out to see how it would work out. It was cramped and not what we'd booked and Carnival refused to change saying we'd already accepted the accommodations.

Ship tip

We've done both open seating as well as assigned seating on the Sunshine. For the personal experience, I'd recommend assigned. They really take care of their guests.

Seems as if Carnival should do something for you. If I showed up to cruise, I wouldn't choose not to go because THEY changed my cabin assignment. I would "tough it out" myself and try it. Glad you were able to enjoy the cruise. Thanks for your review!
